Vianca Lugo

Program steward

Vianca is a nonbinary queer second generation Nuyorican raised between LES and upstate NY. They took their first class with Farm School NYC in 2017 and fell in love with the deeply supportive space co-created by students, facilitators and staff. In 2020, they began their land stewardship journey at the Oko Farms Moore St location and co-founded Comida Pal Pueblo, a QTBIPOC-led mutual aid group, in the same neighborhood. They feel energized when building capacity for collective leadership and are committed to centering joy, healing and rest in this life. When they aren’t farming or organizing, you can find them daydreaming, watching movies or spending time with loved ones
