Palestine Solidarity Statement
Free Palestine in red and white over an olive tree
We are called—as land stewards, food justice warriors, power builders, activists, advocates, and future ancestors —to be in solidarity with the people of Palestine in their fight for sovereignty. Our communities know the battles of colonization, occupation, and imperial terror intimately, and our history compels us to act. We are witnessing the events in Gaza with a heavy heart, filled with sorrow, anger, and overwhelm. Today, we add our voices to the call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the end of US-backed Israeli occupation and dispossession in Palestine, which has resulted in systematic human rights violations against Palestinians for over half a century.
We stand together, with many of our food movement communities, in denouncing Islamophobia, casteism, anti-semitism, apartheid, and dehumanization. Here are some of the actions and resources we wish to emphasize at this moment:
Call or write your reps to demand a ceasefire.
Divest from and Boycott companies that assist in the perpetuation of genocide.
Invest your time and energy in deepening your understanding of Palestine and lifting collective solutions that promote justice, liberation, and continued solidarity.

Deep in our hearts, we carry the weight of profound grief for all the lives lost to US-backed imperialism in Palestine and globally. Our commitment remains unwavering in the fight for the liberation, freedom, and sovereignty of all oppressed people through these troubling moments. We profoundly believe all forms of oppression are interlocking, and our liberation is bound together.
With unwavering solidarity,
