We hold many of our classes at partner sites in all five boroughs (and sometimes beyond!). Visiting different growing sites for our Citywide Certificate courses allows students opportunities to develop a broader understanding of the context of urban agriculture in NYC and to learn from the nuances of each individual growing site.
Hosting a Farm School class at your growing site can be an opportunity to increase awareness of your organization and accomplish some work! We often practice general farm work and accompany a project (installing irrigation, building raised beds, or implementing IPM, etc.) for specific courses.
Generally, we hold Saturday classes from 10am-2pm at sites around the five boroughs from April through November. If you think we could be a mutually beneficial match, please complete our Partner Site Interest Form.
We will contact potential sites during our program planning process if we seem like a mutually beneficial fit. Please keep in mind that this is a long-term process, and may take several months or even the following growing season before we are able to be in touch.
